Performs a variety of skilled and complex clerical functions using a computer and the Imaging Service Department and Hospital Information Systems. Greets and takes care of the needs of our internal and external customers Collects appropriate data to correctly provide the customers with the requested services. Interviews patients to obtain demographic and financial data. Creates patient records and/or enter physician orders in the computer. Receives visitors and telephone calls, refers callers to the appropriate department or staff member. Takes action to resolve problems that may arise in their interaction with patients and physicians. Deals with confidential information in accordance with hospital policy

Minimum Education and Experience:

  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. PC experience required.
  3. Previous experience working in a health care setting to include medical terminology and familiarity with Imaging Services department preferred, or any combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skill and abilities.
