PharmIS is recruiting for an Epic pharmacy builder. The pharmacy builder program allows Willow-proficient/certified staff to prioritize Jira that have been submitted for build, develop specifications with end users, and complete the build in approved computer environments for testing, QA, and movement into production by the Willow team. This position will focus initially on formulary build and other high priority items.

Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Computerized information system implementation, maintenance, and support
    • Assists with establishing standards for ERX build
    • Assists with prioritization of Jira to meet departmental and health system need
    • Supports planning, testing, and activation of upgrades
    • Builds assigned ERX for review and moving to production by the Willow team
    • Communicates changes to users
  • Problem resolution
    • Serves as a liaison between customer and internal or external teams/organizations to resolve problems
    • Analyzes problems and system functionality to consult on optimal technical solutions to address clinical or operational needs
  • Downtime planning and recovery
    • Supports planning and execution of downtime support and recovery for assigned systems
    • Participates in the development and testing of business continuity plans
  • Security
    • Adheres to standards when requesting/overseeing pharmacy user access
    • Assists with refinement of departmental standards for user access
  • Requirements include:
  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in a B.S. or Pharm D degree
  • Epic Willow proficiency or certification
  • Minimum of one year of hospital experience as a pharmacist; one year of experience with computer systems and applications is desired
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience is desired
