Under the direction of the Nurse Manager the ASC Procedure Room Clin Tech will interact with patients, and help physicians and nurses working in the procedure rooms by preparing the rooms and equipment, and assisting during endoscopy, cystoscopy, and pain management procedures.


Days, Full Time (40 hours)

6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.; 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., M-F - varies

A. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. B. Knowledge Knowledge of aseptic technique, basis wound care, patient safety, and patient transport and procedure positioning techniques. Knowledge of proper specimen handeling. Knowledge of recording and reporting pertinent clinical data. Knowledge of setting up and management of specialized patient care equipment. C. Skills Basic analytical ability is required to: Operate electronic monitoring equipment Determine appropriate information and resources needed r/t clinical situation Organize and summarize information. Make judgments regarding routine patient care activities within scope of practice. Highly effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster optimal quality patient care. Demonstrated skills in performing routine patient care activities (i.e. VS, pulse, oximetry, ht/wt, abdominal girth). Ability to document legibly using a writing instrument. Ability to use computer keyboard functions to input and obtain data. D. Required Licensure, Certification, Etc. Nursing Assistant certification. (CNA)
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support E. Work Experience One year of experience working as a clinical technician required.
