General Position Summary: Primary IT end point support person for all of the department of Oncology, CRB I&II, Weinberg, Bloomberg Children’s Oncology, Skip Viragh Oncology Outpatient. They handle Help Desk support calls as well as Service Requests for those departments.

Specific duties & responsibilities This position directly interacts with end point users. This includes all types of Clinical, office and Lab staff. They will interact and support a wide variety of staff with varying degrees of IT experience. Oncologists, Nurses, Unit Clerks, Admin Assistants, Researchers, etc. This roll will be fairly independent but work with a team to provide backup and cross training. A bulk of work should be assigned through our Help Desk Ticketing and Service Request system. There will be a number of IT projects and major software upgrades this position will help coordinate, test, and execute.

Describe the specific devices, software, projects for which the position is responsible:
This position is responsible for end point support for applications such as Epic, SAP. This position also supports a large number of researchers. The Research staff often have specialized one off applications that require a great deal of hands on support. There are also a large number of specialized computer hardware connected to various lab equipment. This position supports the computer equipment located in several research areas in CRB I & II

Describe scale/size of area, project and/or system supported: This position will support between 2,000 and 2,00 systems and Customers. They will work with the various application and server teams for the specialized software needed in the departments. Systems in these areas are critical to Patient care. Universal precautions will need to be strictly followed. Some support will require gowns, gloves, masks, etc.

*East Baltimore - Weinberg, CRB I & II, Skip Viragh Outpatient Bldg., Pediatric Oncology/ Bloomberg Bldg. The position will start as 100% on-site will consider hybrid at a future point in time.

Job Scope/Complexity: Works under guidance and direction. Once priorities are set, perform tasks with regular process updates. Participate in segments of the lifecycle of projects. Device management complexity is typically entry level. Build and maintain relationships through positive interactions. Demonstrates ability to provide good customer service. Tasks are simple in nature (i.e., working with single devices or device types, or simple software, or handling one customer at a time).

Required Education: Two years college course work. Additional experience can be substituted for education.
