Candidate qualifications for the the Lead Clinical Nurse position on Nelson 6:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited nursing program
- Maintain active RN licensure in the state of Maryland
- The ideal candidate ossesses at least 3 years experience as a registered nurse

The Lead Clinical Nurse is responsible for:
Coordinating the total scope of care for a group of patients throughout their unit stay to achieve clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes.
Providing evidence-based care based on the nursing process, policies, procedures, and protocols of the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Mentoring and managing others to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.
Working collaboratively with, and provides leadership for, a multidisciplinary health care team to optimize team performance.
Promoting and identifying quality improvement initiatives (clinical, financial, operational) that are aligned with departmental and organizational safety and operational objectives.
Identifying methods to promote the cost-effective use of resources.
Completing all identified competencies and annual requirements for patient population, unit, department, and institution.
Assuming unit management functions as identified by the
