The Plant Operations Mechanic-I will perform all necessary functions in the preventative maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment in a variety of tasks.

Work location: Washington, DC

Day Shift

Work week: Saturday - Wednesday, 7am-3:30pm


Skills and Abilities Required:

1.Ability to effectively communicates verbally (in English) and document (in written English) all daily activities associated with the safe operation and maintenance of assigned equipment.
2.Knowledge of small tools and safe handling practices associated with repair and maintenance of assigned equipment.
3.Ability to work with little or no supervision.
4.Knowledge and ability to assist with any and all emergency situations and equipment breakdown, malfunction or failure.

Minimum Education and Experience:

1.High School graduate or G.E.D. Certificate preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience is necessary.
2.Minimum of two (2) years experience in the field of maintenance. Prefer experience in a hospital setting.
