Today, Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital has opportunities on our acclaimed radiology team for individuals who wish to work on the cutting-edge of imaging software and protocols - using evidence-based practices to guide patient care. Here, you’ll work in a team-centered culture with dedicated tech educators for your modality to provide ongoing development and unwavering support. As you ensure the proper positioning and scanning of patients, you will also contribute to our commitment to community-based care, healthcare equity, and improved outcomes.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Operates all breast imaging equipment located in the Breast Center for the purposes of performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams, and assisting with needle localizations, stereotactic breast biopsies and ultrasound biopsies. Performs DEXA scans for osteoporosis studies, according to physician orders. Ensures that our commitment to excellence in customer service is accomplished throughout the daily work schedule. Fosters a positive work environment for patients, colleagues and referring physicians. Insures compliance with all the terms and conditions of the Mammography Quality Standards Act.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Advanced mammography registration (ARRT,M), and certification in DEXA modality preferred.
- Proficient in interventional procedures (stereotactic biopsy, sonographic biopsy and needle localization).
