Position Summary:

Under general supervision and in consultation with the Radiologist performs mammographic procedures of a routine and difficult nature. Participates in scheduling procedures for the Breast Imaging Center. Also trains and evaluates other technologist in performing mammographic proceduresAnalytical ability required to schedule patients with available mammography rooms; calculate and select proper technical factors to ensure proper machine function; determine appropriate patient positioning to achieve specialized examinations.


Casual (less than 20)

Day Shift 4 Hour Shift

Weekend - Satruday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon

Work Location: Johns Hopkins Imaging - White Marsh


ARRT Mammography certified with current registration. Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians required. CPR certification required.


Work requires completion of an AMA approved program in Radiolog¬ic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program.


3 to 6 Months experience performing mammography Radiology procedures

Working Conditions

Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed
