The Manager of Systems Configuration will be a key member of the Operations Support team and will play a critical role in the management of the core claims platform(s), editing and pricing systems. He/she will provide vision and direction on daily activities related to the benefits requirements used to configure the claim processing platform(s) and/or third party applications; testing and validation of the configuration and monitoring activities such as pre/post payment validation and modeling.

In addition, this individual will work with various levels of management on gathering business requirements and coordinating activities related to system upgrades, system development and other corporate initiatives. The Manager of Systems Configuration will serve as the first level of escalation for the Pricing and Benefit teams as well as other departments within the organization.

Competencies:

A. Education:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Services or Information Management. Master’s degree in Information Systems preferred.

B. Knowledge:

Requires a comprehensive understanding of managed care operations including system configuration, claims adjudication and compliance. Minimum 3 years of management experience in a managed care environment is required. Must be able to understanding HCFA and UB forms. Must be familiar with procedure coding (ICD10, CPT/HCPS, etc.)

C. Skills:

Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems involving information from multiple sources. Must be able to work independently with limited direction and interact will staff in all levels of the organization.

D. Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:

None

E. Work Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of claims experience with 5 years of progressively more management responsibility

F. Machines, Tools, Equipment:

Proficient in personal computer and applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, Visio, SQL and PowerPoint); standard office equipment
