Summary:
Under general supervision, but in an independent fashion and according to established policies and procedures, oversees the activities of the Materials Coordinator and Senior Materials Coordinators staff. Functions include (same as Senior Materials Coordinator): Replenishment of supplies to the cores and OR exchange carts; Return of supplies to the storeroom; building of case carts; delivery of instrument sets; identify and address expired products; receiving / put away deliveries. High level understanding of applications and processes: ORMIS – utilizing the OR schedule, printing DPCs, utilizing scheduled instrument by case report, etc. SAP – perform goods receipt functions, expiree functions, printing lables, par templates, ability to source supplies in all areas of the hospital, understanding of various transaction codes and how the effect inventory management, etc. INSTACOUNT – scanning and tracking of sets, creating set requests and collaborating with Central Sterile dept, etc. The Materials Coordinator Team Lead will be trained in inventory ordering functions so that they can support the supervisor if needed. Furthermore, the Materials Coordinator Team Lead will play a large role in motivating and directing the Senior Materials Coordinators and Materials Coordinators in the pursuit of optimal customer service and inventory control functions. In the absence of a supervisor, the Team Lead will be in charge of the shift – requiring knowledge of numerous administrative functions along with authority to coach, counsel and issue first level discipline. Furthermore, the Team Lead will provide performance feedback to Supervisor & Management level for the annual review process. Last, the Team Lead may be called upon to participate in the interview process.

Education:
High School Degree with 5 years’ experience or Associates Degree with 3 years’ experience.
Work Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience (with High School Degree) or 3 years’ experience (with Associates Degree) in supply chain, materials, inventory, warehouse and/or related customer service is required; with at least1 year of demonstrated leadership (i.e. team, project lead) experience strongly preferred.
