Reports to the Materials Manager and/or Director and is responsible for scheduling, supervision and coordination of materials management staff and activities. The area includes medical supply distribution, receiving, equipment distribution, remote inventory management, decontamination activities, customer service and emergency carts.
Work requires the completion of two years of college or relevant combination of education and experience in order to prepare reports, perform calculations, maintain records, and deal effectively with staff and customers.
A minimum of two (2) years materials management experience in a healthcare or materials distribution related environment. Supervisory and health care supply chain experience preferred.
Day Shift, Full Time (40 hours)
6:00 am-2:30 pm

Analytical ability to efficiently supervise the ordering, management, distribution, decontamination and utilization of supplies, materials and equipment. Demonstrated proficiency in problem identification, analysis, implementing and/or carrying out solutions and providing measuring results or data to senior management as requested.
Interpersonal skills needed to maintain an effective working relationship with staff, internal and external customers and hospital personnel. Supervisory ability to lead staff in departmental activities including communication instructions, training, achieving goals and tasks assigned from senior leadership, work performance, progressive discipline and performance evaluation.
Required Licensure, Certification:
Must obtain CMRP or CPM within one (1) year of being hired into the position.
Department is opened 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Supervisors work assigned shifts but may be required to cover any shift depending on the needs of the department. Works in a storeroom environment with little discomfort due to dust, dirt, temperatures, etc. Work very frequently produces a level of mental/visual strain due to level of attention to detail required.
Job requires the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs and handle equipment, supplies & instruments.
