GENERAL SUMMARY: Accepts blood and miscellaneous specimens received from internal and external customers. Verifies information provided on specimen with order requisition; assuring sufficient quantity and type. Centrifuges and distribute blood specimens to appropriate section. Orders and prepares specimens for reference laboratory pickup. Answers main laboratory telephone, transferring calls as requested.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  1. High School graduate or equivalent.
