Position Summary:

Reports to the Supply Chain MMIS Manager. This position is responsible for the full integration and management of aspects of the Supply Chain ERP Item and vendor master records. Provides management guidance to assigned staff to ensure accurate data records. Works in coordination with Enterprise Business Solutions to enhance system processes and collaborates closely with other members of the Informatics team (e.g. MMIS Coordinator). Responsible for documentation, testing and end user education on process changes or enhancements with regards to ERP Supply Chain master data records as well as updating any other online training. The Supply Chain MMIS Analyst also manages EPIC data for Johns Hopkins Medicine, creates reports for end users, performs data audits to ensure accuracy of SAP data and performs mass updates to the system as related to master data projects.


A. Education:

Requires completion of a Bachelor’s degree.

B. Knowledge:

Requires knowledge of Supply Chain ERP systems. Must have strong knowledge of SAP and advanced knowledge of computer equipment, automated 8accounts payable and purchasing systems, as well as Supply Chain and Accounting principles. Knowledge of MMIS modules including – Requisitioning, Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory Management, Invoicing and EDI is required. Knowledge of NuVia system and EPIC. Must also possess a basic understanding of the healthcare industry.

Minimum of four years of related work experience preferably in materials management and or accounts payable.

A. Budget Responsibility:

General understanding of supply chain budget and impact of supply chain processes on budget.

B. Authority/Decision Making Level:

Make decisions regarding work processes based upon established guidelines

C. Supervisory Responsibility:

Manages projects. Assigns tasks and manages work load of the Coordinators.

Problem Solving:

Effectiveness in problem solving is required to resolve user department concerns/problems regarding vendors, services, billing or various Supply Chain related issues. Must also be able to explain how processes impact budget.

Information Management:

Knowledge of ERP Supply Chain applications.

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment where there are limited physical discomforts due to temperature, noise, dust, and the like.

Experience above and beyond the work experience requirement will be considered in lieu of degree on a 2 years of experience for 1 year of education basis
