Position Summary:
The MRI Technologist is under the limited direction of the radiologist, general supervision of the administrative director, and the direct supervision of the manager of MRI/CT services, performs professional duties involved in obtaining the proper magnetic resonance images. The job duties are to provide care activities in the presence of patient and do not involve invasive biopsy procedures. Work occasionally requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange work related information. Contact with external contacts involves providing or getting factual information. Requires normal courtesy and tact in dealing with others.
Education/Experience:
1. Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
2. One (1) year of experience preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word
Licensure/Certification:
1. Current radiologic technologist licensure in the State of Maryland.
2. Current registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
3. Current CPR certification.
4. Advanced MRI certification strongly preferred.
5. IV certification by HCGH within ninety (90) days of hire date.
