Position Summary:
Requires extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathologic processes with emphasis on neurologic, orthopedic, and cardiac physiology. Thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as related to the position, as well as aseptic and sterile techniques. Requires knowledge of the physics involved to perform magnetic resonance imaging exams, as well as the use of all equipment necessary to obtain and document a complete examination. Effective communication skills to interact with patients, physicians and other personnel.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm.

Education:
Requires completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program. Prefer one year experience in an imaging modality.
Experience
Prefer magnetic resonance training program experience with clinical internship or one year of clinical imaging experience. High levels of analytical skills are required to perform appropriate scans based on the patients' history and protocol. Work requires a high level of interpersonal skills for instructing and orientating patients, physicians medical staff, and students.
ARRT certified with current registration required. CPR certification required within three months of employment. Advanced ARRT MRI certification required within one year of employment.
Working Conditions:

Required to work in all ACR MRI zones and exposed to strong magnetic field for extended periods. Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, radiation, magnetic field, and pharmacological agents with likelihood of harm if established health precautions are not followed. Work may require the use of lab coats, uniforms and/or protective clothing including gowns, gloves, masks and eye gear. Position requires the ability to assist the patient on and off the examination table and also to assist the patient into proper positioning to obtain diagnostic results. The position will require moving and lifting of supplies and equipment as needed.
