The Johns Hopkins Hospital Supplemental Staffing Unit provides you with a flexible job opportunity, great compensation and a variety of professional development opportunities and resources. We are currently seeking new graduate nurses who have an interest in working on a variety of medical/surgical units throughout our hospital. Our new grad RN's will recieve a comprehensive orienation that will prepare you to care for acute care patients and respond to variable patient volumes and fluctating acuity levels. Those who would like to eventually work across a continuum of care that incorporates acute, intermediate, and critical care will be supported to do so within the supplemental staffing unit. Our collaborative work environment includes advanced practice providers, nurse extenders, unit based support technicians and administrative staff. Upon hire, all new graduate nurses are automatically enrolled in the yearlong Adult Nurse Residency Program (NRP) to facilitate the successful transition to professional nursing practice.
Shifts: 12 hour day & night rotating; weekend work required
- BSN or MSN preferred. Must be from an accredited nursing program.
- Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire.
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
- BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
- No RN work experience required
All New Graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in our yearlong Nurse Residency Program to facilitate your successful transition into professional nursing practice.
