The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Ortho / Trauma Surgical Unit (Zayed 11 East), is a 32 bed adolescent and adult surgical inpatient unit. Care and services provided: orthopedics, trauma, and general surgery. The Nurse Manager provides leadership to achieve unit, departmental, and institutional objectives within a rapidly changing environment, and promotes innovation and excellence in clinical, service, and team performance.
Shifts: 8 hour shifts Mondays-Fridays
- MSN from an accredited nursing program required. Those without the required degree may be considered provided they will be enrolled in an accredited MSN program within 12 months of hire.
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
- Requires 5 years of experience as registered nurse (within the specialty preferred), including 3-5 years with leadership and/or management responsibilities.
- Ability to lead others, problem-solve, analyze and interpret data, adapt to rapidly changing priorities and environment, and create a climate that fosters compassionate care, innovation, cooperation, collaboration, and teamwork.
