The Johns Hopkins Hospital Inpatient/Outpatient (IPOP) team cares for hematologic malignancy patients (primarily those with multiple myeloma and lymphoma) and for patients after blood or marrow transplantation (BMT). Our hematologic malignancy and BMT patients have access to some of the most innovative and advanced therapies in the world. Because Kimmel Cancer Center research scientists and clinicians closely work together, new drugs and treatments developed in the research laboratory are quickly transferred to the clinical setting, offering patients improved therapeutic options and the chance to participate in innovative clinical trials
Shifts: 10 hour day
The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner practices within the guidelines of the unit department, and institution and in accordance with the Nurse Practitioner- Physician Written Agreement required and approved by the State of Maryland. You will function in a Nurse Practitioner Associate role until credentialed by The Johns Hopkins Hospital medical board and staff privileges are granted.
- MSN/DNP from an accredited nursing program required.
- Active Maryland or Compact RN and CRNP license is required
- Letter from MBON approving practice as a Nurse Practitioner Graduate.
OR Current certifications as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland while awaiting completing of JHH affiliate credentialing as a Nurse Practitioner.
- BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
- No NP work experience required
- The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of acute care RN work experience
- 3 years of RN acute care work experience is preferred.
