The Nursing Education Specialist demonstrates experience and expertise in nursing practice and professional development. The scope of this position includes development, design, delivery, facilitation, evaluation, and ongoing improvements for the Nurse Residency Program. This selected candidate oversees the entire transition to practice including evidence-based practice, research, and improvement initiatives to enhance the onboarding experience of the nurse resident. The role of the position may change based on the needs of the health care system.
Master's degree in nursing education or related field.
Two or more years of previous nursing education experience is a must. Knowledge or experience with development and implementation of a nurse residency program strongly preferred.
Current state licensure as Registered Nurse required; Related certification is a plus
CPR Required AHA Healthcare Provider
Full Time (40 hours)
Day Shift with some off shifts and weekends to support educational needs
Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed; Works in normal office environment where there is little discomfort to due to the extremes of heat, dust, noise, temperature and the like; Works in patient care areas where there are no physical discomforts due to dust, dirt, temperature and the like
