Requirements:

Nursing Scheduling Coordinator monitors daily staffing needs to coordinate supplemental staffing coverage to ensure a safe environment for patients in a cost effective manner. 

  • knowledge of programs that relate to productivity, improvement like scheduling, spreadsheets, electronic communication
  • written communication skills to draft letters and memos
  • manage and maintain suplemental staff schedules and updates schedules.
  • Identify gaps in schedules and independently solocit supplemental staff and nurse staffing agencies to make changes to improve the mix of staff avaialble to meet the needs of patients.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

At least 1 year experience in a similar work environment.

Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

Interpersonal skills to communicate with groups of people from administrators to public and outside vendors. 

Analytical ability to organize work, set priorities, performs duties simultaneously and effectively function in stressful situations.

Ability to communicate effectively with visitors, patients and hospital employees.
