Responsible for the delivery of training modules for roles within the Operations departments. This includes, but is not limited to, Claims, Customer Service, Enrollment, Provider Maintenance, Provider Relations, and Appeals. This position may serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the documentation process and assist with creation of training manuals, workflows, job aids, and other updates. Participates in the assessment of training effectiveness and may make recommendations for additional training. Assists in development of training interventions to ensure workflow compliance. Partners with Training and Development team members, stakeholders, and others to ensure all supported departments training is current and accurate and meets the needs of the employees and the business.

  • Conducts training sessions, both instructor-led and web-based, for JHHC clinical and non-clinical staff using written materials, oral presentations, and audio-visual equipment to assist groups in development of role-specific skills
  • Assists in the development of training programs that reflect the needs of the organization
  • Partners with Training and Development team members, SMEs, and others to revise training programs based on evaluations and assessments
  • Analyzes and evaluates training programs for impact and effectiveness
  • Assists in design of training and non-training interventions to address performance gaps

Requirements:

  1. Education:

Bachelors or Associate Degree in education, communications, organizational development, or related field preferred or equivalent experience in managed care operations.

B. Knowledge:

Requires one to three years of progressively responsible experience in managed care operations and/or a demonstrated proficiency in adult education and training processes.

High level of proficiency in adult education and training, and group presentation generally acquired through three to five years experience. Must be familiar with different approaches to staff and management development and various delivery systems. Must have experience customizing and delivering training modules in a business setting.

C. Skills:

Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively develop training manuals and lesson plans for training programs. Must demonstrate excellent presentation skills. (Short instructional presentation required as part of interview process). Must have a relatively high level of analytical ability to evaluate programs for impact and effectiveness, and identify problem areas. Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to conduct formal training sessions and to interact effectively with client managers.

D. Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:

Certifications as required to administer select training programs and assessment instruments.

E. Work Experience:

Requires one to three years of progressively responsible work-related experience.

F. Machines, Tools, Equipment:

Must operate PC, general office and AV equipment.
