Position Summary:
This is a scheduler/operator staff position with responsibility for answering of both inbound and outbound calls. Serves patients by answering inquires; questions and provides accurate information. ENTAA Care a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians LLC.
Reports to the Operations Manager.
Education:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
Work Experience:
Minimum of one year’s experience in a call center setting; preferably in a health care setting.
Knowledge/Skills:
-Applicant must be highly motivated and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced office with strong interpersonal skills and with a friendly and empathic manner.
- Experience with computerized EMR (electronic medical records) systems highly desirable; familiarity with use of computers required.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with staff, physicians, Howard County General Hospital departments, patients, families and outside agencies in such a manner as to gain their confidence and secure their cooperation and respect.
-High level of patience, tolerance, and tact in order to deal effectively with people and time pressures.
-Professional demeanor, attitude and appearance.
-Initiative and assertiveness in dealing with problems.
-Knowledge of operator tasks, clinic policies/procedures and paperwork.
-Knowledge of use of office equipment including phone, computer, and scanner.
-Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques.
-Reliable transportation.
-Flexible to changing demands
