Johns Hopkins Community Physicians is looking for a Patient Access Specialist II to provide excellent customer service at our call center located in Baltimore, Maryland. The Patient Access Specialist receives inbound contacts (calls, emails, faxes, etc.) from patients and physicians requesting services within JHMI. Coordinate complex appointment scheduling linking consults and ancillary services required for assigned specialty services within the department, maintaining patient demographic and insurance pre-registration information in appropriate department scheduling system(s) (Meditech, IDX, OCIS, MOSAIQ or EPIC). Responsible for satisfying the customer and maintaining the image of JHM. Call Center Assessment is required. Applicant must demonstrate a passing score of accurately entering at least 80 correct fields.

Must successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes, but not limited to: Electronic medical record training, Insurance training-foundations, government and commercial.

  • Dayshift -Monday - Friday - May be required to work 11:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. shift one day a week
  • High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years of college preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of two years related of experience in medical office, hospital, medical call center or similar customer service environment
