The primary focus is to evaluate and educate JHACH/ACSP departments regarding, but not limited to, managed care contract provisions, legislative statute and new administrative and clinical policies that may impact internal operations, working relationships and future reimbursement. The responsibilities include researching and interpreting current/proposed payer policies and contract terms to determine the potential risk to revenue and internal resources. Act as a liaison to develop appropriate, specific contacts with payers to foster improved working relationships throughout the organization and to act as a point of escalation to resolve immediate as well as ongoing issues related to the revenue cycle process. Assure accurate information is distributed to the appropriate internal departments and to third party payers.
Associate's degree required with 2 to 3 years work experience in managed care/health service environment. Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of managed care contracts required. Ability to work independently a must. Customer Service experience is helpful. Computer skills consisting of Outlook email and scheduling, Word, Excel spreadsheets and related databases. Must possess a resourceful personality with strong interpersonal skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask to complete assignments timely with minimal direction.
