Under the direction of a supervisor performs duties in the operating room to assist the surgical and anesthesia teams by troubleshooting and supporting implant cases, maintaining instrumentation and supplies, and educating others related to surgical implant procedures. Inspects and verifies proper function of implant instruments and refills implant trays with implantable materials after case-use. Makes recommendations to management on the purchase of new or replacement implant instrumentation and implant systems for the operating rooms.
Minimum Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted for the degree on a 2 years of experience for 1 year of education basis .i.e. 4 years
Requires a minimum of three years of experience with surgical and/or anesthesia procedures, supply, instrumentation and/or equipment.

11:00 pm-7:30 am

Work requires high level of accuracy and documentation.
Strong analytical ability required to troubleshoot defective items, comprehend operations manuals and evaluate supply trends.
Possess good communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to accurately describe problems to the appropriate personnel.
Must be able to work independently with little direction and follow-up.
Ability to function as a team member under stressful situations.
Ability to perform basic computer skills.
Ability to teach technical skills.
Ability to demonstrate familiarity with operating room implant instruments/ supplies
Required Licensure, Certification:
Certification in Surgical and/or Anesthesia Technology is preferred.
Possible exposure to communicable disease, hazardous materials, pharmological agents, with little likelihood of harm when established health precautions are followed.
Requires standing up for over 80% of work-time and lifting and/or transferring heavy equipment and/or instruments (routinely 30 lbs. or more, few over 50 lbs) from one location to another with little likelihood for injury if proper body mechanics and procedures are followed.
