The Pharmacy Practice Resident:

  • Serves as an advanced pharmacist practitioner engaged in providing pharmaceutical care.
  • Regularly monitors patient-specific therapies and collaborates with other health care team members.
  • Participates in quality-assurance activities, represents department on hospital-wide committees, and serves as a resource for other health care practitioners.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from accredited school. PharmD preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Maryland Pharmacist license, Vaccination Certification and BLS within 9 months of hire.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

2 – 4 years previous hospital pharmacy experience required. Advanced degree or residency may be accepted in lieu of experience.
