Position Summary:

To provide evaluation, program planning and treatment of patients referred to Physical Therapy. To provide documentation of the above and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and students. To participate in the enhancement of the profession, the facility, and one’s self by providing quality care, clinical research, and education. The above ensures that all patients are helped to meet their maximum potential through the quality care and input to medical management provided by the Physical Therapist, and that the therapist continues his or her professional growth and development and contribution to the Medical Center.


Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.


Current Maryland State Licensure as a Physical Therapist.

AHA Healthcare Provider CPR.

Required Work Experience:

Two (2) years of Ouptatient experience highly preferred. Specialty certification in Neuro, Lymphedema and/or Pelvic preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Work requires the analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analysis, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems or design relatively complex systems and programs that cross department/divisional lines.

Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
