Physician Assistant (PA) - Abdominal Transplant managing the care of 10-15 critically ill, medically complex abdominal transplant patients. Responsibilities include providing pre and post-surgical care, rounding, placing orders and expediting discharges with a multidisciplinary team. This position is essential to maintaining optimal patient care, patient safety standards.
Shifts: 8-hour day shifts; some weekends (no on-call)
Qualifications:
- Master's from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program required
- Active Maryland PA license and Board certification are required
- Active CDS and DEA licensure
- BLS Health Care Provider CPR certification required: AHA or Red Cross accepted
- PA transplant experience preferred
- New graduate PA will be considered
- Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership Systems (PECOS) enrollment required
Cannot start working until credentialed by The Johns Hopkins Hospital medical board and staff privileges are granted.
