Position Summary:

The Clinical Office Coordinator provides direct patient care to high risk obstetrical patients. Responsible for providing clinical care including, but not limited to performing and interpreting
electronic fetal monitoring, performing appropriate assessment and interventions of the motherbaby dyad and evaluating outcomes of the interventions, understanding and taking appropriate action on abnormal labs under the direction of the MFM physicians. Manages transitioning patients from outpatient care to inpatient care, as well as providing direct patient education. Facilitates clinical outreach and is involved in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives and performance improvement. Assists with program development.

Education/Experience:

Three (3) years recent experience in an outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic required orthree (3) years of recent experience in a high risk, high volume inpatient Labor and Deliveryunit will be considered.

LIcensure/Certification:

1. BSN, NP or PA required.
2. Current Maryland license as RN or licensure in a compact state that allows practice in Maryland or NP or PA.
3. CPR and EFM certifications required. EFM Certification preferred at time of hire. New hires without current EFM certification must obtain certification within 12 months of beginning employment.
4. Current certification in High Risk Obstetrics preferred.
