Johns Hopkins HealthCare has created an operating division entitled Johns Hopkins HealthCare Solutions (“Solutions) seeking to redefine healthcare delivery by developing and disseminating innovative knowledge-based products and services targeted at improving health of populations. Solutions will provide a platform to manage a portfolio of strategic partnerships, relationships and services enabling JHHC to leverage, commercialize and expand our human and intellectual assets and ideas and explore opportunities to generate new revenue and funding streams with external partners. Further, Solutions will seek to more effectively leverage key strategic partnerships and external relationships maximizing the benefit and impact for JHM and our faculty.

Reporting to a Director within Solutions or other designated supervisor, this position will be responsible for the management of a team of project managers, who will be assigned to support various projects within the Solutions book of business. This includes working with faculty to ensure contract deliverables, managing business logistics, planning and coordination of projects and events, remaining current on company and industry business developments.P


A. Education:

Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in Business Management preferred. Master’s Degree in a related field is a plus.

B. Knowledge:

Knowledge of project management, budget management and business/strategic planning.

Knowledge of health and wellness care.

Knowledge of current health care policies, practices, and environments.

Knowledge of employee benefts programs and marketing,

Knowledge of intellectual property licensing and technology development, implementation and integration in a health or services environment preferred.

Knowledge and experience related to project management and implementation of medium and large scale strategic initiatives. Working knowledge of contractual law and the application of legal agreements as they relate to financial, business and operational terms.

Familiarity with JHM organizational structure preferred.

C. Skills:

High level of interpersonal skill, strong written and oral communication necessary to interface with various levels of management. Ability to compile, write and present high-quality oral and/or written presentations and reports to JHHC/JHM senior management, physician leadership, clients and oversight boards. High level of meeting management, computer, leadership/facilitation, organization and time management skills. High level of analytical ability necessary to identify and illustrate relationships among activities, recommend courses of action based on making choices between alternative and design recommended. Strong attention to detail required.

Ability to work independently and work within aggressive time frames; manage multiple projects simultaneously. Works with and leads multi-disciplinary teams.

E. Work Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in health care-related business, consulting, or program development and/or project coordination/management, preferably in an academic medical center or major corporate institution. Public health, business development experience preferred. Health care, health research, or other technical health sector experience beneficial.
