POSITION SUMMARY:

The Practice Administrator (PA) is responsible for the daily operations of the Department/Institute including practice management, staff supervision, budget management, and maximizing operational efficiency. Physician practice management may be at several clinical locations: inpatient, clinic, emergency center, affiliate hospital location, satellite locations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Leadership: Analyze problems, promote solutions, establishes/implements goals, objectives, policies procedures and systems for all operational areas. Respond to the need for change and lead the change process.
  • Communication and Relationship Management: prepare and deliver business communications, reports, etc. and maintain professional accountability focusing on the needs of the patient and community.
  • Professional and Social Responsibility: demonstrates high ethical conduct, a commitment to transparency and accountability.
  • Health and the Healthcare Environment: monitors and ensures legal, ethical and quality safety standards are met in the clinical, corporate and administrative function; optimizes the healthcare workforce; utilizes vital statistics and indicators to guide decision making.
  • Business: demonstrates knowledge of business practices including recruitment, onboarding and orientation.

Work Hours: 8am - 4:30pm (M-F), 40 hrs/wk

Work Location: St. Petersburg, FL

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree required, no relevant experience considered
  • Certification is preferred
  • 6 years of healthcare experience required; 2 year management experience
  • Budget and fiscal responsibilities
  • Manages hiring, training, supervision, and performance evaluation
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of all automated systems which support daily operations and reporting
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills
