Who you are:
As a Programmer Analyst for Johns Hopkins Health Plans, you are as comfortable behind the scenes as a Healthcare/Insurance Analyst as you are in front of your customers; as you work closely with a team of analysts and developers to design, develop, implement and maintain departmental and enterprise wide client server, cloud, and web based systems. You are the go-to as you have the experience developing, architecting and administering EDI applications in a Healthcare setting using HIPAA mappings.
What you’ll do:
- Monitor and maintain the performance of software applications throughout the enterprise.
- Analyze and troubleshoot any reported incidents
- Throughout the project lifecycle, you are responsible for the technical requirements and documentation, to include, but not limited to:
- Installation and testing of new and/or upgraded applications, operating systems, file structures, hardware, communication devices, and productivity tools.
- Performs complex analysis, design, development, testing (unit, system and integration), documentation and debugging of software artifacts in support of EDI/ API integration applications.
- Performs modifications to and maintenance of highly complex operational programs, maps, processes and procedures.
- You serve as point of contact for resolution of complex software problems.
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in Healthcare/Insurance analyst support role
- Strong database-related development skills (complex SQL queries, complex store procedures and user-defined functions in SQL Server)
- Advanced understanding of structured programming, types of databases, file structures, and programming tools
- Experience with application integration and solving problems relating to system interoperability
- Familiar with healthcare HIPAA 5010 Transaction sets (e.g. 834, 835, 837, 820,274,276,277, 270 and 271) and have proven experience developing, architecting and administering EDI/ API applications in a Healthcare setting using HIPAA mappings. Facets experience a plus.
- Experienced working with Facets and Facets data models and data extracts
- Experience working with Facets online modules such as billing, provider, claims and membership modules
- The technical skills we’d like you to have:
- Applications: Cognizant FACETS, SQL Server SSIS, Apache Tomcat, Java, ACTIVE Batch.
- DB: SQL Server, DB2, MS Access
- Frameworks: .Net, MVC, ASP .Net, Angular, Bootstrap, Entity Framework
- Tools/Utilities: Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Telerik, Toad, Eclipse
- Languages: C#, JavaScripts, Visual Basic, Json, XML, T-SQL, LINQ, HTML, CSS
- Report Writers: Crystal Reports, SSRS
- Client Server: Design, Windows 10/11, Maintenance/Application Layer Patching
- PC PACKAGES: Excel, Portals, Internet Browsers Config
- Operating System: Windows, UNIX/LINUX
- Ability to establish and meet work schedules within limited time frames and under tight deadlines.
- Willing to work off hours as needed in support of changes to the computing environment.
- Requires a professional level of knowledge in software development or equivalent as normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
