This JHM position reports to the Director of Quality & Transformation. This role carries out JHHS and JHU ambulatory quality improvement initiatives as set by the Armstrong Institute for Quality and Patient Safety, as well as the Office of Johns Hopkins Physicians. The position performs several major functions for all JHM physicians (Johns Hopkins Community Physicians and Johns Hopkins University SOM faculty). Conducts quality improvement (PI) activities with central and local site leadership. Leads and facilitates performance improvement teams with local site leadership using the Lean framework. Documents site level quality improvement meetings, assuring goals and action items are on track and measured. Uses quality improvement techniques (workflow diagrams, process maps, and fish bone diagrams) for analysis. Provides sites with adequate data to measure success and determine the best metrics for monitoring. Assists local leaders with data analysis and understanding. Provides guidance on areas to focus on. Helps users interpret data. Coordinates and oversees data collection, analysis, and submission requirements to payers for quality initiatives, depending on assigned project. This may include interpreting external specifications, documenting internal technical specifications for report writers, and assuring data accuracy for submissions. Works to improve systems that will improve quality of care. Examples include working with EMR's to streamline documentation processes and allow for easier data reporting and suggesting new workflows that will improve efficiency. Assures EMR meets standards for quality programs governed by payers and regulatory bodies.

- Bachelors Degree required. Physician Assistant requires Master's Degree.
- Licensed in the State of Maryland as a Registered Nurse (RN), Physician Assistant (PA), or licensure in a related healthcare position preferred. Relevant experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Requires three years equivalent full-time clinical experience as clinician. Prefer a minimum of two years related experience in related field, collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, identifying and solving problems, facilitating discussion with team to recommend solutions, etc.
