Under general supervision, operates standard, portable, and specialized X ray equipment to perform radiographic examinations used for diagnosis and treatment. Provides appropriate patient care, develops film and instructs radiology students as needed..
Full Time, 40 hours per week
Day Shift, 800 am – 4:30 pm
Rotating weekends, holidays and on-call
Work Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital
Requires completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program.
Preferred 3-6 months diagnostic radiology experience.
Required Licensure, Certification:
ARRT certified with current registration required. Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians required. CPR certification required with three months of employment.
Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, radiation, and pharmacological agents with likelihood of harm if established health precautions are not followed.
Work may require the use of wearing lead aprons, lab coats, uniforms and/or protective clothing including gowns, gloves, masks, and eye gear.
Position requires the ability to assist the patient on and off the examination table and also to assist the patient into proper positioning to obtain diagnostic results.
Heavy lifting and pushing or pulling portable radiology equipment will be required.
The position will require moving and lifting of supplies and equipment as needed.
