Position Summary:
Responsible for providing professional nursing care according to specified physician orders and in conformance with established nursing techniques, procedures, standards and Medical Center administrative nursing policies.
Telemetry, Progressive Care, Cardiac Care, Coronary care, step-down unit, observation, CCRN
Education:
AA degree in Nursing
BSN preferred or must obtain in 4 years
Experience:
Previous experience as a patient care tech or student nurse tech is helpful;
Licensure/Certification:
RN license in Maryland or compact state
CPR (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network)
Knowledge/Skills:
Work requires the analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain medical center polices, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients., visitors and/or medical center employees. More sensitive situation may be referred to others as appropriate.
