Welcome to the exciting world of pediatric perioperative care at The Johns Hopkins Hospital Pediatric Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit! As a 32-bed unit, we provide comprehensive pre and post-surgical care to children from birth to 25 years of age. Our scope of practice spans across various surgical services, including Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pulmonary, GI, Urology, Renal, Dermatology, and General Pediatric Surgery. In addition to surgical patients, we also cater to those requiring anesthesia or sedation for procedures such as MRI, CT scans, interventional radiology, non-invasive radiology, and cardiovascular imaging and lab (CVIL). With our doors open 24/7, our dedicated team ensures uninterrupted care for up to 4 overnight extended surgical recovery patients.

Shifts: 12 hour day shifts

Who Should Apply:
- Associates Degree in Nursing required
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
- BLS CPR certification required
- RN work experience required
Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire
