The Regulatory Compliance Clinical Auditor performs regulatory compliance activities which include assessment of compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation, OSHA/FDA/CDC guidelines, HIPAA and EMTALA law, and other external regulatory requirements. Additionally, assess compliance with facility internal policies through concurrent and retrospective chart review, observation of clinical and operational performance (tracer methodology), and data collection and analysis. Responsibilities include mock survey activities designed to mirror anticipated accreditation, certification or licensure surveys. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and prior experience with collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, identifying and solving problems, and conducting educational programs with hospital staff.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8 hour Day Shift Position

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Nursing (RN or LPN), Physician Assistant (PA), or Bachelor's Degree in related or allied healthcare field; Master’s Degree greatly preferred
  • Licensed in the State of Maryland as a Registered Nurse (RN), Physician Assistant (PA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or licensure in a related healthcare position, as applicable
  • 2 years clinical experience; Prior experience in regulatory compliance or data analysis greatly preferred
