Performs delegated and supervised patient care duties and tasks for patients receiving services from the Rehabilitation Services Department within the legal and ethical guidelines provided by the APTA, AOTA and the DCMR code for physical and occupational therapy. Documents in the patient's medical record within guidelines established by the Rehabilitation Services Department. Responsible for inventory control, department cleanliness and equipment and environmental safety. Prepares maintenance and repair requests and purchase orders for review and approval of Director. Cross trained in billing and data entry processes for both in- and outpatient clinical areas.

Minimum Education: Diploma/Certificate/GED required
Minimum Experience: 1.5 years of related experience required - Minimum one year experience as a PT or OT Aide preferred. Related volunteer experience and/or training in an acute care or geriatric facility considered. Interest or career goal within the professions of rehabilitation (PT, OT, SLP, TR, Art) highly desirable.
