POSITION SUMMARY:

The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for the evaluation, reporting and analysis of revenue cycle operations. This position provides analytical and project management oversight and support for revenue cycle operations. Trouble-shoots inefficiencies and issues, researches and makes recommendation for improvements, manages project plans and helps to implement change.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Manages, distributes and presents revenue cycle performance reports to key leaders and works with departments to develop and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for revenue cycle
  2. Analyzes data and identifies opportunities for improvement within revenue cycle operations, quantifies and prioritizes issues and suggests improvement plans
  3. Collaborates with various revenue cycle departments to establish and execute on actionable items aimed at improving revenue cycle operations
  4. Responsible for the coordination of activities and ensures continual compliance with regulatory standards (i.e. CMS, AHCA, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience in a hospital or large physician practice setting
  • Experience with creating reports, developing query logic and presenting results of analysis to large groups
  • Excellent computer skills with intermediate or better use of Excel (i.e. sorting, pivot tables, graphs, etc.) and other reporting/analytical tools, including presentation proficiencies
  • Experience working with action/project plans

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • __X__ Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
