Responsible for providing professional nursing care according to specified physician orders and in conformance with established nursing techniques, procedures, standards and Medical Center administrative nursing policies.
Job Duties: Demonstrated the knowledge/skills required to care for the patient population on assigned unit. Must assume accountability for the process and outcome of care for the patients. At least 1 year of acute Psychiatric experience. BSN enrollment in 6 months and completion in 4 years.
Although rotating shift the need is primarily for day shift in this department.
Acute Psychiatry Unit
Full Time Nursing (36 hours)
Pay Grade 93
Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center
Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred; Must enroll for BSN in 6 months and complete in 4 years.
At least two years of acute psychiatric experience plus one year of Med-Surg preferred.
Mayland RN license
AHA Healthcare Provider
Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed; Works in area that may require contact with aggressive and/or combative patients
