POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Nurse Leader role is responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating patient care by coordinating, delegating and supervising the care provided by a healthcare team at the clinical level. Clinical Nurse Leaders use evidence-based practice to ensure that patients receive the best care, making full use of the latest innovations in care delivery. Clinical Nurse Leaders are part of an interdisciplinary team of physicians, pharmacists, social workers, nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse specialists; all working together to plan and implement the most effective medical care. The CNL works with the nursing leadership team and the clinical nursing team to create an environment that promotes the provision of patient centered, specialized, evidence based nursing care across the continuum through an inter-professional approach to treatment, research, education and advocacy. This position contributes to the goals of the department and the Department of Nursing by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Florida Board of Nursing and JHACH policy. The professional practice of nursing at JHACH involves the promotion of a culture of innovation and a commitment to academic growth and professional development. This position contributes to the professional development and growth of nursing personnel in the practice environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Master's degree in Nursing with an emphasis on the Clinical Nurse Leader role and required competencies.
•Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience and extensive clinical knowledge of the pediatric patient population required.
•Active RN License in the state of Florida and Clinical Nurse Leader certification required.
•Knowledge and skills to effectively apply all aspects of the nursing process and care management principles. Physical ability to perform all aspects of patient care.
