Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia - RN Clinical Team Leader

As a Clinical Team Leader, you will assume a leadership position within the CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia) nursing team at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. In addition to providing expert nursing care to infants and children diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the CDH nursing unit. You will serve as a mentor and resource for other nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role requires strong leadership abilities, advanced clinical knowledge, and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities:
•Provide expert nursing care to infants and children diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
•Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for CDH patients.
•Monitor patients' vital signs, respiratory status, and overall health to ensure optimal care and early identification of any complications.
•Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
•Assist in surgical procedures and post-operative care for CDH patients.
•Educate patients' families on the condition, treatment options, and ongoing care requirements.
•Provide emotional support and counseling to families during their child's hospitalization and throughout the recovery process.
•Document patient care activities, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
•Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills related to CDH care.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science in Nursing
•Current Florida RN Licensure
•3 years of experience in an acute care setting
•BLS required
•Certification within one year in area of specialty
