Coordinates and collaborates Health Suite services with other RN and PCT staff for all of Community Psychiatry, both Adult and Child patients.

Manages Injection clinics, assuring medication orders are current, ordering and storing of medication, accepting and monitoring of medication delivered by pharmacies or patients/families.

Administers IM and oral medications, and assists with inhalants administration with both adults and children.

Assists in requests for medication refills, including from pharmacies, and in requesting prior authorizations from insurance companies, coordinating information with patient’s treatment teams.

Takes vital signs on patients when urgently needed or when requested by physician or clinical staff or in absence of PCT assigned to routine vital signs.

Provides brief medical triage assessments for disposition and minor first aid for children.

Initiates independent nursing interventions when appropriate for patients, coordinating information with clinical team, documenting same.

Provides medication and illness/health promotion education on a case by case basis, or in a group as assigned.

Oversees maintenance of medical equipment/supplies and health education materials in Health Suite, the Child health room, and waiting areas.
