The 2 Pavilion Surgery Unit at Howard County General Hospital is recruiting for an experienced RN who wants to grow and who is interested in evidence-based practice (EBP) and health quality measures. We are a 30-bed telemetry capable surgical/stroke unit caring for adult and geriatric patients for general surgery, gynecologic surgery and stroke care.

What you will do: The RN uses specialized knowledge, judgment and skills as the basis for assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of the practice of nursing. The RN manages the direct patient care of an identified patient or group of patients. The RN assumes the primary responsibility and accountability for the delivery of all patient care.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Associates degree in nursing required, BSN preferred or enroll within 6 months and complete within 4 years of hire
  • Maryland RN license
  • AHA Healthcare Provider
  • Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience
