Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Non-Exempt; Pay Grade: 40

Position Summary:

Responsible for assessing the needs of clients providing counseling or referrals to appropriate community service agencies. Provides input in the development of new social work services, and/or improvements to health care delivery systems. This candidate will work solely on a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to clients with first episode schizophrenia. Caseload size is approximately 40 and the ages of the clients range from 14-26. Responsibilities will include comprehensive psychosocial assessments, diagnostic formulations, family and group psychotherapy, administration of outcomes measures, crisis intervention when appropriate, maintaining timely clinical documentation in electronic health record, and obtaining insurance authorizations when appropriate. Candidate will work closely with team psychiatrists, other therapists, case manager and program administrator. Other responsibilities of assisting with community outreach with organizations around Baltimore for the purpose of referrals and education occur less regularly.

Education/Work Experience:

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Master's degree in Social Work and 2 years of previous social work experience.




Work requires the analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.

Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations
