The Speech Language Pathologist provides medically prescribed services for inpatients and/or outpatients to restore function, minimize disability following disease, or injury, and to assist the patient in reaching his/her maximum possible level of functioning. Innovations improve work procedures and methods and primarily result in some time and cost savings. The job duties are to provide assessments and treatment activities with patients. Work frequently requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange work-related information. Contact with external contacts involves providing or getting factual information. Requires normal courtesy and tact in dealing with others.

Part Time, Day Shift

Work Location: Howard County General Hospital, 5755 Cedar Drive, Columbia, MD 21044

Education:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:

Current SLP License from the State of Maryland.
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association preferred.
Current CPR certification.

Work Experience:

A minimum of One (1) year experience in the area of neonatal care required. Able to cross/cover acute/inpatient adult as needed.
