Sr Business Intelligence Developer

Position Summary:

Works under the supervision of a Data Trust Analytic Team Leader or other data governance or analytic leadership appropriate for the scope of work. This supervision may be through a matrixed or direct reporting structure. This role is responsible for leading data analytics and additional support of performance measures, ongoing measurement, data collection, reporting, data visualization, and information dissemination. They are subject matter data experts that work with complex IT solutions to solve high priority organizational analytic problems in their work area. This role involves developing and fine tuning exploratory IT solutions, which includes coding, testing, debugging, designing, and implementing newly developed BI solutions. They process large amounts of information to draw conclusions based on their intelligence findings, interact with a variety of business professionals, and communicate critical project requirements within the organization. Spends time researching and planning analytic solutions for existing and new problems within the organization as directed by their supervisor and leadership. Responsible for leading the subject matter strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence tools. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems independently. Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhance clinical & business decision-making capabilities. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Goals are communicated in solution or project goal terms. Will provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Also, may manage developers, directing their efforts to reach organizational goals in a timely manner. Partners and collaborates with other analytic teams and data warehouse engineers. Serves as subject matter expert for engineers, spending time planning for new data architecting needs. Participates in meetings to suggest improvements for business processes. They also help manage custom application development and create delivery model strategies, as well as provide scalable services related to high performance visualization tools and infrastructure design.

A Bachelors degree required. Masters degree strongly preferred.
