Reports to the Storeroom Manager, Surgery Supply Chain and is responsible for the planning, organizing and controlling of the daily perpetual and periodic inventory of medical surgical supplies and patient care equipment within the storerooms, cores and OR rooms to fulfill supply and equipment requests in the following areas: ZBOR, WBG and JHOC. A dotted line will exist to the Implant Manager, Surgery Supply Chain, as the Supervisor will also help oversee personnel (Lead Implant Specialist, Implant Specialists, Lead Inventory Specialist and Inventory Specialists in the following areas: ZBOR, WBG and JHOC. Directs staff engaged in ordering, receiving, shipping, unpacking, picking, staging, storage, verification, case carts, par area stocking, insert building, cycle counting and all other activities required to successfully maintain adequate supplies of stock items for all surgical supply areas. Assists the Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling inventory levels to achieve inventory and service level objectives. Responsible for inventory variance pertaining to handling errors. Responsible to provide administrative, operational, and logistical support for the management of surplus equipment and furnishings. Participate in the hiring process of new employees, run the training program for new hires, as well as continuing education for the staff focusing on development and retention. Host regular team meetings as well as individual meetings with staff which focuses on improving employee engagement scores. Furthermore, Supervisors are champions of service excellence as Surgery Supply Chain attempts to provide optimal service to the surgeons and clinical teams.

Pay Grade: MD
Full Time, Day Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm
Requires a minimum of an Associate’s degree. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience beyond the work experience may be substituted for the degree on 2 years of experience for 1 year of education basis.
Requires a minimum of 4 years of progressive inventory experience, in surgery, implant or related field. Supervisory or management experience preferred.
