Position Summary:

Reports to the Associate Director of Supply chain E-Commerce .This position provides a range of Project and Operational System activities and Troubleshooting, in support of the MMIS business initiatives. Provides support to Supply Chain Shared Services staff and John Hopkins Enterprise customers with regards to system processes and issues. Manages all aspects of the continued creation and maintenance of the Supply Chain Electronic ordering and billing processes; Including Item Master Data and Vendor Data elements.


Must have strong knowledge of SAP, intermediate knowledge of computer equipment, automated accounts payable and purchasing systems, as well as Supply Chain and Accounting principles.


Requires knowledge of Supply Chain/Accounts payable as normally obtained through completion of a Bachelor’s degree, or five years’ work experience in related areas with a preference for Five years’ experience in a Purchasing/Accounting department.).

Work Experience:

Minimum of Five years of Materials Management and or accounts payable experience – Knowledge of MMIS modules including – Requisitioning, Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory Management, Invoicing and EDI is required.

Must have strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and troubleshoot various Supply Chain related problems, assist other departments in and maintaining computer systems for inventory management, accounts payable and purchasing and in-house systems personnel to explain problems for resolution.

Must also possess a basic understanding of the healthcare industry, as well as a strong knowledge of how MMIS applications enhance the daily business practices of the organization.

Must have strong analytical ability necessary to solve Supply Chain computer operating problems

Strong knowledge of Excel and Access, merging files, data cleansing, project manager.
