Position Summary:

Responsible for delivering a quality and reliable training program to Support Services team members. Responsible for assessing training needs for the Support Services Division and supporting Division directors with implementation of new educational/training initiatives. Develops and customizes training to prepare staff to meet performance standards and the service expectations of a broad client base as well as productivity. Assures compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinates with other departments within the organization. Reports directly to the Support Services Performance Improvement Manager, and indirectly to the Training Manager, Human Resources.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of training principles and methods for curriculum and training design, as well as teaching and measuring the effectiveness of training.

• Basic understanding of health care industry issues and operations, including the Maryland regulatory environment.

• General knowledge of systems and standards in environmental care, food services and patient transport.

• Proficient knowledge of computer applications. Ability to perform data analysis using spreadsheets.

• Strong analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent problem solving, conflict management and analytical skills.

• Excellent organizational and customer service skills

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Work Experience:

Three years of directly related experience. Previous experience working with entry level staff preferred. Previous experience working with Union employees preferred

Days, Full time (40 hours per week)

8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Work is generally performed in an office or clinical environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant or hazardous working conditions.
